Lintran helps Dogs Trust save dogs’ lives
Dogs Trust cares for over 15,000 dogs every year. With 23 rehoming centres across the UK and Ireland, the organisation depends on its fleet of cars and vans to function effectively. Every time the fleet expands or vehicles are replaced, the new vans must be equipped to safely transport dogs of all shapes and sizes.
Dog ambulances are an essential part of the fleet, used to get dogs to safety and veterinary attention – from abandoned litters to strays and dogs that have been removed from an abusive environment. These vehicles are often on a life-saving mission but, as a charity, Dogs Trust has to work to a necessarily tight budget.
Lintran’s initial work for Dogs Trust involved transforming one van into an ambulance, whilst a competitor had been given another to do the same. Working to our client’s brief, we used our experience and expertise to build a quality interior designed to transport dogs safely and comfortably with the minimum amount of stress, easy to clean and maintain and fully compliant with legislation.
Naturally, progress was closely monitored and, partway through the build, Dogs Trust made a decision. Our understanding of the organisation’s needs, our design and manufacturing skills to produce a practical solution and maximise the budget, plus our empathetic approach to the brief – ensuring that every decision was determined by dog welfare and safety – led to the other order being stopped.
Lintran subsequently became a preferred supplier for future dog ambulances and we are proud of the small part we play in helping to save the lives of dogs in need.
