Our design and engineering capabilities combine to create intelligent solutions for safe and secure dog transportation. Investment in state-of-the-art technology and a CNC machine means that all Lintran products are manufactured with absolute precision and to the very highest quality standards.
We want every dog travelling in a Lintran dog transit box to be in an appropriately sized space. A large breed dog shouldn’t be cramped and unable to move. A small dog shouldn’t be at risk of being thrown around in a box that is much too big. Lintran dog boxes are carefully designed to accommodate all shapes and sizes of dog.
The technical bit
Built around a steel structure, which provides inherent strength, our dog boxes are made with white polypropylene*. The properties of polypropylene – rigidity, hardness and high tensile strength – make it an ideal material for dog boxes. In the event of a collision, polypropylene will absorb force and impact much more effectively than metal, offering greater protection for your dog.
Polypropylene offers amazing heat resistance. We all know the dangers of dogs overheating in cars and just how quickly that can happen. That’s why we use white polypropylene. Yes, your muddy pupper may make the interior a bit dirty from time to time but the smooth surface is easy to clean. Most importantly, white polypropylene reflects the sun’s UVA rays – for your dog that means a space that remains cool even in the hottest of summers. Comparison tests with metal dog boxes have shown that Lintran dog boxes are up to 20˙C cooler when exposed to the sun – a metal box will absorb the heat and create a dangerously hot environment for a dog.
*Two of our Lintran dog transit boxes, the DB2004 and DB2006, are currently made with fibreglass.
