How it all started

The Lintran story begins in the 1980s with a spaniel called Gemma.

Owner Frank regularly took Gemma to shoots. Returning after a day in the field, and often in questionable weather, his car interior was always dirty thanks to a certain mucky pup – there had to be a better way of transporting his dog and keeping his vehicle clean. Drawing on his professional background of working with premium car brands and knowledge of vehicle technology, Frank designed and built his very first dog transit box. Realising that it answered a problem common to so many dog owners, Frank saw an opportunity and Lintran was set up as a family-run business in 1988.

Recognised for our quality products

Roll on 30 years and, in 2017, we moved to our current location in Faldingworth. We were delighted to welcome HRH The Princess Royal to officially open the new premises, a mark of Lintran’s reputation for quality and excellence.

But we never rest on our laurels, we continue to develop and innovate, ensuring that our boxes are compatible with an ever-increasing variety of vehicles. We’ve become a valued supplier to organisations such as RSPCA, Dogs Trust and HM Prison Services, and we are incredibly proud to have won a number of awards along the way.

In 2025, Lintran joined the Reingenuity group of companies, specialists in advanced manufacturing. Our passion for, and commitment to, keeping dogs safe in cars and other vehicles remains the same and we look forward to the new opportunities to innovate and further develop our range of dog transit boxes and accessories.
